Team development is a cyclical process where trust, insight, and action reinforce each other. Our advanced program guides teams through five key phases, centered around two core anchors: "belief" and "enjoyment." This model fosters sustainable growth, from awareness to execution and celebration.
We also call this the divergent stage.
Stage 1 – Connection
Connection arises when team members dare to show themselves and openly share their personal stories and drivers. This often invisible layer creates understanding and space within the team. Through the connection between the individual, the team, and the environment, a solid foundation is laid that is necessary for real growth. Trust and openness form the basis on which the further process rests.
We support this stage with insights from, for example, the EnneaGuide and the team profile, linked to the specific case context the team is in.
Stage 2 – Bringing Truth to the Table
In this stage, the team is invited to safely name tensions, unspoken concerns, and differences. It is a delicate balance between sharpness and relaxation, where the undercurrent is made visible without losing interpersonal safety. Methods such as exploring conflict patterns and applying feedback principles help create clarity about where the friction lies and why.
This openness leads to deeper insights and forms the breeding ground for strengthening the shared belief.
Stage 3 – Strengthening Belief
Together with the team, we work on the TeamCanvas: the ‘belief document’ in which direction, core values, purpose, drivers, and goals come together. This document is the living compass that offers direction and trust. It is not a static piece of paper, but a foundation that the team regularly tests and refines. Commitment and ownership find their place here, so that belief in the collective process is firmly anchored.
We work with methodologies for purpose, core values, and ambition, and make use of the Innovation Circle for deepening.
Anchor Point BELIEF
With the TeamCanvas as a foundation, the team possesses shared trust, shared values, and a supported course. This anchor point symbolizes the confidence in the collective process and the direction the team has chosen together. The belief in the course gives strength to take the next steps.
Characteristics: goal-oriented, deliverables, risks, resources.
We also call this the convergent stage.
Stage 4 – Planning and Preparation
The shared vision and course are translated into concrete, achievable plans. Attention is given to resource planning, risk management, and solution-focused thinking. This ensures the team can start with confidence and that execution is realistically structured. This stage is often case-specific and requires sharp insight into resources, processes, and potential obstacles.
Project management principles, brainstorming techniques, and risk analyses are commonly used supportive tools here.
Stage 5 – Doing and Adjusting
In the final stage, the team executes the action plan, leaving room for continuous reflection and adjustment. The team stays alert to new insights and learns from emerging experiences. Openness and flexibility are crucial here. Additionally, celebrating achieved successes is essential to strengthen the interpersonal bond and generate new energy.
Practical tools such as action lists, progress monitoring, and open feedback sessions support this process.
Anchor Point ENJOYMENT
Celebrating and enjoying achieved results marks the closing of the development cycle. It is the moment when the team acknowledges successes, strengthens bonds, and recharges for new challenges. This anchor point symbolizes the sustainable strength of the trajectory, where new awareness and growth can begin again.
Our program is rooted in the 9 wisdoms of the Enneagram, where each type plays a unique role and brings specific strengths within the stages of team development. Throughout the process, we actively engage with the underlying innovation questions that each type carries. We integrate this deeper layer into our approach, increasing the likelihood that everyone truly hears and understands each other.
By consciously using these types and their innovation questions, the team gains deeper insight into behavioral dynamics and develops a rich, shared language that deepens development and collaboration.
